Ingredients
- 3 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 2 large mangoes, peeled and chopped
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup granulated sugar, sweetness to taste
- ½ cup honey
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
- In a large Dutch oven combine the apples, mangoes, sugar, honey, raisins, vinegar, and ginger. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add lemon juice, curry powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Increase heat to medium heat and cook 15 to 20 minutes. Yields 5 cups.
