Ingredients
- ¾ cup (1 ½ sticks) unsalted butter
- ¾ cup cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons canola oil
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 4 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and grease a 10-inch square pan.
- Melt the butter in a double boiler over low heat. Stir in the cocoa powder and oil. Pour mixture into a large bowl and let cool for about 5 minutes. Stir the sugar, flour, eggs, and vanilla (the mixture will be very thick). Stir in 1 cup of the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the top with the remaining chocolate chips. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting. Yields 16 brownies.
